Diesel Marine Technology Instructor

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified Diesel Marine Technology Adjunct Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching courses in diesel marine technology to students with a wide range of academic backgrounds and experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver instructional content in diesel marine technology, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on training sessions.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students on their progress.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning, including active learning techniques and the use of technology.
- Hold office hours to meet with students and provide additional support.
- Participate in departmental and college-wide initiatives to improve student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as marine technology or a related field.
- Two years of experience in the field of diesel marine technology, including experience in teaching or training.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Teaching experience at the college level.
- Experience with learning management systems and other educational technologies.
- Knowledge of diesel marine technology and related fields.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
