Job Summary

ProMedica is seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Coordinator to join our Vascular Care team. As a key member of our patient-centric care delivery model, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient experiences in a clinical and non-clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Greeting and Registration: Immediately greet patients and visitors, register new patients, and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate the scheduling of patient appointments, reschedule patients as requested by providers, and collect co-payments and outstanding balances.
  • Communication and Documentation: Answer and/or triage patient telephone calls, record complete and accurate messages, and document information accurately and promptly in medical charts and practice management systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and co-workers, and support internal and external customers to maintain a superior customer experience.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain the provider schedule, assist clinical staff and/or providers with outgoing phone calls, and participate in practice staff meetings.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or clerical setting.
  • Skills and Abilities: General computer and typing proficiency, independent judgment, and excellent interpersonal skills.
