Position Overview
Oversee the culinary program within the educational institution, managing everything from procurement of supplies to meal distribution. Responsible for inventory management, financial oversight, menu planning, and coordination of volunteers in the culinary department.

Reporting To: Director of Finance

Work Schedule: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week during the academic year

Compensation: Based on experience

All staff members are required to support the ECS Declaration of Faith and must fully affirm sections 1-5, 8-13.

Applicants will be asked to affirm both the ECS Declaration of Faith and the ECS Standards of Conduct for employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate orders with food and beverage suppliers.
  • Process payments for snack shop transactions.
  • Maintain an inventory log of snack shop materials.
  • Procure and purchase supplies for the snack shop.
  • Design menu options for review by students and parents.
  • Address inquiries from parents regarding food services.
  • Distribute food and beverages to students.
  • Ensure safe handling of cash revenues from food services and the snack shop.
  • Supervise volunteers within the culinary department.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • Provide a pastoral reference from a local church to confirm regular attendance and active participation.
  • Comply with the mission statement, core values, Code of Conduct, and Statement of Faith of Emmanuel Christian School.
  • Experience in culinary services or a related field.
  • Physically capable of operating equipment, lifting up to 30 lbs., and performing daily responsibilities.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with both adults and children.
  • Communicate effectively in person and in writing in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Manage time efficiently to complete all daily tasks associated with the role.
