Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Access Service Representative to join our team at Sharp HealthCare. As an Access Service Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of patient registrations, while providing exceptional customer service and promoting premier patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all registration functions to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient information
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather and verify demographic and insurance information
  • Utilize Patient Secure to identify and authenticate patient identities, while adhering to EMTALA regulations
  • Process patient financial responsibilities, including collecting co-pays, deductibles, and estimated out-of-pocket expenses
  • Provide exceptional customer service, using AIDET and On-Stage Behavior to ensure a positive patient experience
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a business service setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance, and billing guidelines
  • HFMA certifications preferred
