Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reservations and Sales/Marketing Coordinator to join our team at Sonesta Hotels. This role is pivotal in managing group reservations and executing marketing strategies to enhance our hotel's visibility and guest engagement.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Handle all group reservation inquiries, modifications, and cancellations through various communication channels, ensuring accurate data entry in our systems.
  • Organize rooming lists and establish billing arrangements for group bookings.
  • Conduct daily inventory reconciliations to maintain accurate room availability.
  • Collaborate with the Front Desk Supervisor to manage VIP and suite reservations effectively.
  • Generate daily transaction reports and monitor advertising needs in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Assist in the development and execution of social media marketing plans, ensuring alignment with the hotel's promotional activities.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing to maintain updated online promotions and website content.
  • Support the Director of Sales and Marketing in various marketing initiatives and ensure that promotional materials are prominently displayed throughout the hotel.
  • Participate in weekly meetings to review booking trends and adjust reservation blocks as necessary.
  • Manage relationships with internal bloggers and media influencers, ensuring all requests are properly vetted.
  • Act as the hotel's social media ambassador, adhering to corporate guidelines for content posting.
  • Promote special events and happy hour offerings through targeted email campaigns.
  • Maintain and update various online platforms with current hotel information and visuals.
  • Prepare monthly commission reports and ensure timely submission for processing.
  • Regularly update the email database and image library to reflect the latest offerings.
  • Serve as the Delphi system administrator, ensuring all staff are trained on new updates and procedures.
  • Address discrepancies in daily activities promptly and document actions taken.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the hotel.

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hotel sales coordinator role is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in Delphi, OPERA Database software, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Fluency in English is required, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform calculations related to discounts, commissions, and other financial metrics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and motivational skills are necessary for success in this role.
