Job Overview

As a Facilities Operations Manager at Agilent, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our manufacturing site. Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will oversee the management of Agilent's extensive leased facility, which spans 50,000 square feet and houses our LC Columns and Micro Arrays operations. You will lead a team of contractors and consultants, managing site operations that range from large-scale construction initiatives to event coordination and executive engagements. Your commitment to maintaining a productive, safe, and collaborative work environment will be essential in aligning with Agilent's core values.

  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure the maintenance of critical systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to prevent disruptions and guarantee compliance with regulations.
  • Capacity Support: Assist in the expansion of operational capabilities and business initiatives.
  • Workplace Culture: Foster a safe, collaborative, and engaging atmosphere for all employees.
  • Environmental Leadership: Promote sustainability and represent the Agilent brand through our facilities and corporate events.
  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline site operations, manage strategic supplier relationships, and maintain cost-effectiveness.
  • Standardization: Ensure consistency in support services and operational standards.

Essential Duties:
  • Oversee daily facility management, environmental health and safety (EHS), and employee services.
  • Prioritize and execute infrastructure projects, including construction and upgrades.
  • Implement systems to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure adherence to EHS and Global Security protocols.
  • Collaborate on optimizing infrastructure and service delivery.
  • Manage an annual budget for operational and capital expenditures.
  • Set team objectives focused on talent development and process enhancements.
  • Act as the representative for real estate matters and tenant relations.
  • Champion Agilent's culture, values, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or Construction is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer registration is advantageous.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in HVAC mechanical design, facility/project engineering, or general contracting.
  • Experience in the life sciences or chemistry-based manufacturing sectors is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of design-build and plan-specification construction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and other pertinent regulations.
