About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager & Estimating Manager to join our team in the construction industry. This role is pivotal to our company's success, requiring a keen understanding of petroleum, fuel, tanks, pumps, and government contracts.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Prepare detailed project estimates and bids for submission to clients and government entities.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, ensuring that they meet the client's needs and budget.
  • Lead the project team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
  • Review and interpret project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  • Prepare and submit RFPs and bid proposals, ensuring they are accurate, competitive, and timely.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
  • Utilize Procore software for project management and estimating tasks.
  • Monitor project progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure timely, cost-effective completion.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of government contracts and regulations related to the construction industry.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and legal regulations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimating within the construction industry, preferably with a focus on petroleum, fuel, tank, and pump projects.
  • Proven experience with RFPs, bid proposals, estimating, and construction estimating.
  • Proficient in the use of Procore software.
  • Familiarity with government contracts and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a knack for strategic thinking and detail-oriented work.
  • A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing projects to completion, on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of safety and legal regulations within the construction industry.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
