About This Opportunity
Versar Global Solutions is seeking a full-time Incident Management Coordinator to support the delivery of interstate asset maintenance services to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The successful candidate will lead incident management efforts, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
Your Impact
- Develop and maintain a safety culture that prioritizes Zero Harm.
- Stay up-to-date on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and best practices.
- Provide effective incident management, severe weather management, and response to major and minor crashes, hazardous and non-hazardous material spills, and other related activities.
- Communicate effectively with project personnel, stakeholders, and emergency services.
- Assist with incident investigations, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with corporate safety resources on policy development, investigations, and best practices.
- Respond to emergency situations, including roadway incidents and inclement weather, 24/7.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's degree beneficial.
- Minimum of two years of documented experience as an Incident Management Coordinator or similar role; five years preferred.
- Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials, field operations, and records.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Fluent English reading and writing skills; bilingual in Spanish a plus.
- Valid United States driver's license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand, bend, and reach for extended periods, and assist crew members with heavy objects.
- Successful results of pre-employment federal background check, motor vehicle report check, and drug screen.
