Job Summary

Versar Global Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Incident Management Coordinator to lead incident management of interstate asset maintenance services to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in incident management, severe weather management, and response to major/minor crashes, hazardous and non-hazardous material spills, and other types of incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead incident management of the project, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and job-specific training relating to incident response and scene protection.
  • Identify potential risks in advance, analyzing risks and taking steps necessary to mitigate adverse impact.
  • Assist with project-level incident investigations as needed.
  • Coordinate with corporate safety resources on policy, investigations, and best practices.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as roadway incidents and inclement weather, 24 hours a day.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor's degree beneficial.
  • Minimum of two years in documented experience as an Incident Management Coordinator or a similar position, five years preferred.
  • Knowledge of various highway maintenance equipment, materials, field operations, and records.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Fluent English reading and writing skills, bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Valid United States driver's license.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods, work under stressful conditions, and assist crew members with moving heavy objects.
