Position Overview:

The role involves the design, specification, and management of integrated systems installations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final installation and completion.
- Assess work hour estimations based on needs analysis, project scope, and bidding requirements.
- Create engineering and architectural drawings, including RCP and floor plans, as well as perform calculations and acoustical modeling.
- Identify and resolve technical or logistical challenges that may hinder project delivery.
- Determine special project requirements, which may include:
- Test equipment
- Specialized tools
- Rigging support
- Conduct testing of audio DSP or video processing systems to ensure software functionality.
- Offer engineering support to the installation team as necessary.
- Oversee the commissioning of systems both in-house and on-site.
- Engage with current and potential vendors to evaluate product offerings.
- Provide clients with weekly project updates.
- Monitor and manage the project budget effectively.
- Design wall plates and overlays as needed.
- Test integrated systems and troubleshoot issues when they arise.
- Support the project installation team with engineering and control system programming as required.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to secure necessary personnel for installations.
- Assist the Project Manager in the transition of projects to the installation team when necessary.
- Deliver documented test results from system testing and commissioning to the Project Manager.
- Review project designs from both internal and external sources and coordinate with the CAD department.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites is essential.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues, clients, and internal teams.
- Strong business writing capabilities.
- Proficiency with testing and calibration equipment.
- Support user acceptance testing processes.
- Ability to program, modify, and troubleshoot systems (AMX/Crestron).
- Capability to diagnose complex system issues.
- Advanced computer skills necessary for the design, configuration, and operation of AV equipment.
- Independent working ability while meeting deadlines.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets company standards.

Education and Experience:

- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; formal education in Electronics or a related field is preferred.
- At least five years of experience in the AV industry is preferred.
- A four-year degree is advantageous.
