Position: Field Engineer - Water Treatment Pilot Tests

Overview: Join our team at Chart Industries as a Field Engineer specializing in water treatment pilot tests. This role involves collaborating on pilot project proposals and developing testing protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the formulation of comprehensive pilot execution plans.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless project execution from procurement to delivery.
  • Lead or support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for all pilot equipment prior to deployment.
  • Manage pilot logistics in collaboration with clients before field testing commences.
  • Conduct field pilots, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Develop specific safety plans to facilitate safe project execution.
  • Perform troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and process issues in both pilot and full-scale plants.
  • Support Application Engineers and Project Managers with technical tasks related to project proposals and execution.

Documentation and Research:

  • Prepare design submittals and other essential project documentation.
  • Compile bills of materials and write process descriptions, coordinating with procurement for component acquisition.
  • Conduct equipment research to fulfill project requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of process P&IDs.

Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Environmental, Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical preferred).

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience focused on water treatment systems and technologies.

Skills:

  • Strong aptitude for learning and a desire for professional growth.
  • Practical experience in the design and operation of water treatment systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T) certifications.
  • Experience in field testing and piloting.
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for process design drawings.
  • Additional studies or a Master’s degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • Experience with ion exchange, filtration, reverse osmosis, adsorption, and chemical feed systems is highly valued.
  • International project experience and bilingual skills are a plus.
