Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Director to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies that support our programs and mission. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing communications teams and a degree in communications, marketing, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement detailed communication plans aligned with our strategies
  • Oversee the website, radio station, radio podcasts, video production, and social media presence to ensure strategic alignment and impactful messaging
  • Supervise design and graphic elements to maintain brand consistency and messaging
  • Manage the communications budget and ensure financial activities align with organizational goals
  • Regularly analyze marketing and communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of strategies and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement
  • Represent the organization at media and community events and pursue opportunities to increase local, regional, and national visibility
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience managing communications teams
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Design Programs, website maintenance, typography, layout, and general design concepts
  • Excellent bilingual Spanish/English verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions, exercise sound judgment regarding communications, and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and ability to meet COPAL's driving record requirements
