Compensation:
$18.50 per hour. Benefits include eligibility for medical, dental, and life insurance plans for new full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, starting the first of the month following 60 days of full-time employment. Full-Time team members can accrue Paid Time Off ("PTO") at a rate of 120 hours per year and are entitled to 7 paid holidays annually. Part-Time team members are eligible for Paid Sick Leave as per state guidelines. All team members aged 21 and older can participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completing 30 days of service.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Spa Wellness Coordinator supports the Wellness team in delivering exceptional service to members in the Wellness area. This role reports directly to the Wellness Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure an outstanding experience for members and guests by exemplifying and upholding the standards outlined in the BlueStar 10, while adhering to BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) and facility policies.

Collaborate as part of a team to manage daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, facility inspections, and inventory management, while effectively communicating maintenance needs.

Maintain a supply of clean towels in Wellness areas throughout the shift. Conduct inspections, upkeep, cleaning, and organization of wellness facilities.

Demonstrate the proper function and usage of all Wellness equipment, ensuring members and guests are well-informed.

Welcome and check in members and guests at the front desk, providing outstanding customer service and addressing all inquiries with care. Gather feedback from customers regarding satisfaction and concerns to enhance overall operations.

Develop comprehensive knowledge of all Wellness services and products, promoting them enthusiastically to members and guests, and assisting them in making informed choices for their well-being.

Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

SKILLS:
A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. One to three years of direct customer service and hospitality experience is required. One to three years of wellness-related work experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary. Familiarity with fitness club operations is advantageous. Skilled in attentive customer service and effectively addressing guest concerns.

  • Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, commissions, portions, and percentages. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members, guests, and the community association. Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to think critically, work independently, and make sound judgments. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement is expected. This position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. A valid driver's license is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position operates indoors and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy, and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
