Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Patient Coordinator will play a vital role in providing general assistance, information, referrals, and scheduling for individuals and families seeking behavioral health services. This individual will serve as a liaison between clients and our clinical team, ensuring seamless communication and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement a screening and triage process to assist potential clients in determining the necessary services.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client inquiries, and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain a working relationship with managerial, administrative, and clinical staff to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Add, update, and edit scheduling services as needed.
  • Complete all data entry for pre-admission, including identifying information, reason for referral, relevant history, and payor type information.
  • Identify emergent or complex cases and seek clinical review, as needed, prior to finalizing the patient's appointment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all clinical and administrative information consistent with agency policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in front office work preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs and have excellent data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette.
  • Ability to maintain confidential records.
Working Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at an office desk on the computer.
  • Lifting: Able to lift up to 15lbs.
