Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Patient Coordinator will serve as a key point of contact for individuals and families seeking Behavioral Health Services. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, patience, and a strong ability for problem-solving in crisis or conflict situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement a screening and triage process to assist potential clients in determining the necessary services.
  • Answer and schedule client calls, maintaining a working relationship with managerial, administrative, and clinical staff to ensure efficiency in day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Add, update, and edit scheduling services, as well as complete all data entry for pre-admission, including identifying information, reason for referral, relevant history, and payor type information.
  • Identify emergent or complex cases and seek clinical review, as needed, prior to finalizing the patient's appointment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all clinical and administrative information consistent with agency policy.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in front office work preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs and excellent data entry skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette.
  • Ability to maintain confidential records.
Working Environment:

Prolonged periods of sitting at an office desk on the computer. Lifting: Able to lift up to 15lbs.
