As a Neuroscience Sales Account Executive, you will have a remarkable opportunity to contribute to the expanding promotion of our CNS portfolio to primary care providers and specialists, including Psychiatrists, Neurologists, and Institutional Accounts such as Skilled Nursing Facilities.
Your role will involve driving demand creation by leveraging comprehensive clinical knowledge, implementing sales and marketing strategies in the local market, and collaborating to deploy approved services tailored to the specific needs of each account or customer.
Our Neuroscience Sales Account Executives excel at navigating the complex commercialization challenges present in today’s fast-evolving landscape and must exhibit strong capabilities in the following areas:
- Business Planning & Account Leadership: Utilize digital tools and data-driven insights to identify opportunities, formulate strategies and tactics, allocate resources effectively to enhance sales execution, monitor progress, and adjust course to optimize sales performance.
- Customer Development: Create engagement plans that encompass identified customers and key stakeholders across various touchpoints, including Private Practices, Institutions, Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), and others involved in the patient care continuum.
- Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise: Analyze and validate key trends and dynamics within the market, map account relationships, and apply extensive therapeutic knowledge to discover and prioritize unique opportunities.
- Reimbursement: Consistently demonstrate the ability to stay updated on reimbursement dynamics, proactively address payer access challenges specific to the promoted portfolio, utilizing Lundbeck resources effectively.
- Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance: Apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory landscape, ensuring adherence to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations regarding the promotion of pharmaceutical and medical products.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences from an accredited institution.
- Approximately 4+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales.
- Proven ability to excel in disease and product training assessments, including annual product knowledge certification.
- Demonstrated proficiency in building and maintaining professional relationships with key customers and office personnel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Compliance with industry-standard credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and customer facilities is essential for continued employment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience within a specialty product sales force.
- Prior experience promoting and detailing products specific to CNS/neuroscience therapeutic areas in both primary care and specialty environments.
- Documented successful sales performance, including national sales awards.
- Ownership and accountability for developing and executing comprehensive account plans.
- Experience in institutional account healthcare sales (IDNs, Hospitals, Community Mental Health Centers, and Skilled Nursing Facilities).
- Strong analytical skills and experience utilizing sales data reporting tools to identify trends.
Travel Requirements:
Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 30% - 40% to engage with customers and internal personnel within the assigned territory, ensuring timely travel completion.
Compensation:
Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000, with eligibility for a sales incentive target of $37,500. Benefits include flexible paid time off (PTO), comprehensive health benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision), 401k company match, and a company vehicle.
