Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Coordinator Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Coordinator Lead to join our team at the University of Washington. As a key member of our Laboratory Medicine and Pathology department, you will be responsible for overseeing and assessing daily tasks and workflows for Accessioning, ensuring seamless coordination between Accessioning and other areas in the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Under general supervision, oversee and assess the daily tasks and workflows for Accessioning.
  • Facilitate the coordination of workflow, operational standards, and policies between Accessioning and other areas in the department.
  • Maintain open and appropriate communication with direct supervisor and department leadership regarding staffing, workflows, and policies and procedures.
  • Train and onboard new staff in Accessioning.
  • Assign and direct the work of Accessioning staff as related to their standard duties as well as coverage needs.
  • Regularly meet with staff and supervisors to review, revise, and/or implement process improvements.
Requirements:
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND three years of clinical or public health laboratory experience OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
