Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technician II to join our team at UW Medicine Primary Care. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing routine and stat laboratory tests, utilizing automated or semi-automated equipment, kit assays, and microscopic evaluations.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and stat laboratory tests, including understanding, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment and testing methods.
  • Work accurately and precisely, organizing the workload to meet service demands, calmly, efficiently, and without direct supervision.
  • Perform quality control analyses on all tests assigned and determine whether all parameters are within established ranges.
  • Participate in training and demonstrating routine laboratory techniques to new employees in coordination with the CLT Lead.
  • May send out letters to patients, as delegated by clinic leadership, with lab results or overdue reminder letters for appointments.
Requirements
  • Active Washington State MA-Phlebotomist Certification required.
  • High School / GED.
  • Minimum one-year relevant experience or training in a clinical laboratory or medical setting.
