Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Coordinator Lead to join our team at the University of Washington. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, contributing to the delivery of clinical and anatomic pathology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and assess the daily tasks and workflows for Accessioning, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of materials.
  • Facilitate the coordination of workflow, operational standards, and policies between Accessioning and other areas in the department.
  • Maintain open and appropriate communication with direct supervisor and department leadership regarding staffing, workflows, and policies and procedures.
  • Train and onboard new staff in Accessioning, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assign and direct the work of Accessioning staff as related to their standard duties as well as coverage needs.
Requirements
  • High school graduation or equivalent AND three years of clinical or public health laboratory experience OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and communicate clearly with physicians and staff in the Pathology department and other departments/institutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
