Position Overview:
The Welding Systems Process Specialist will be a key contributor within the Engineering Team, focusing on enhancing process activities throughout the design and assembly phases.

Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will:
- Collaborate with the Engineering Team to support essential process activities during design and assembly.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of mechanical and control schematics.
- Analyze assembly processes, including layout and cycle time assessments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Innovate and document detailed assembly process solutions, including cycle time charts and layouts that align with operational needs.
- Establish standards and tools for the department.
- Process various welding lines, including resistance, MIG, projection, drawn arc, and mechanical fastening.
- Select appropriate weld guns and specify electrode designs and spot distributions.
- Utilize video analysis to validate and enhance process times.
- Provide technical support to Mechanical Engineering Project Engineers.
- Ensure product and GD&T control, including station assemblies.
- Assess and validate machine ergonomics.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cycle time documentation.
- Monitor machine builds and buyoff processes to evaluate cycle times.
- Utilize CAD software, such as INVENTOR or ACAD, for tooling concepts and layout designs.
- Address customer inquiries and engineering modifications.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Technical, Proposal & Estimating, Engineering, and Weld System Design.
- Familiarity with Mechanical and Controls aspects is essential.
- Proven experience in Engineering, Estimating, and Conceptual Designs for clients.
- Competency in Inventor and/or 3D ACAD is required.

Work Environment:
The role involves regular use of hands for handling and communication. Candidates should be prepared for extended periods of sitting or standing. The work environment typically features moderate noise levels.
