Position Overview:
The Welding Proposal Specialist is a key role within Lincoln Electric, reporting directly to the Director of Processing & Estimating in the Welding Division. This position focuses on supporting North American initiatives and addressing new Request for Quotation (RFQ) opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting cost assessments for custom-designed and manufactured systems, with a preference for experience in welding systems.
  • Utilizing design software such as INVENTOR or AutoCAD to create tooling concepts and layout diagrams.
  • Crafting technical proposals that are clear and engaging.
  • Reviewing and responding to new project RFQs, customer inquiries, and engineering modifications.
  • Compiling processes, layouts, and project proposals for new programs.
  • Maintaining an updated list of new welding opportunities and assisting in prioritizing quotes for the Welding Group.
  • Participating in RFQ meetings with clients and conducting technical reviews post-quotation submission.
  • Preparing comprehensive responses to RFQs and RFIs in the form of Proposal Letters and Quotations, ensuring optimal technical and commercial solutions are presented.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Engineering, Proposal Development, and Estimating.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings.
  • Exposure to Mechanical Engineering and Welding Systems.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Work Environment:
The role requires the ability to meet the physical demands associated with the job, including standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks. The typical noise level in the work environment is moderate.
