Job Summary

The Lincoln Electric Company is seeking a highly skilled Weld Systems Process Engineer Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and supervising process department staff and all process validation tasks related to Weld Systems and related secondary equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise process department staff to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Schedule manpower requirements in accordance with production schedules.
  • Monitor and maintain processing tasks relative to the master production schedule.
  • Provide weekly status report updates to the Weld Systems Engineering Manager.
  • Cultivate and manage outside and in-house sources for SIMs.
  • Create specification packages for outsourced SIMs.
  • Stay up-to-date on state-of-the-art technologies and implement improvements to production processes.
  • Create standards and tools for the department.
  • Validate, create, modify, and improve process times.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Proposal and Estimating Department.
  • Provide input on departmental staffing based on established guidelines.
  • Provide training and assistance to new employees.
  • Conduct process reviews - internal and external.
  • Manage product and GD&T control, including station assemblies.
  • Analyze and validate machine ergonomics.
  • Create safety calculations and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain formal cycle time charts.
  • Develop and maintain process documents.
  • Manage robot lists.
  • Supervise the creation of system layouts and safety fencing layouts.
  • Manage engineering change requests and line up estimating.
  • Walk the floor to identify and address issues related to robot reach, interference, and cycle time.

Requirements

  • Ability to supervise mechanical design engineers and outside design sources.
  • A background in mechanical design, with familiarity with AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Knowledge of spot and mig welding systems.
  • Familiarity with NAAMS components.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T required.
  • Minimum 10 to 15 years' experience.
  • Possible 10% travel requirement.
  • US Passport and travel capability to Canada.
  • Autodesk Vault experience is a plus.
