PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and nurture current client relationships through regular visits and systematic follow-ups. Frequent travel is required; anticipate field engagement for at least four days each week.

Accountable for meeting annual sales objectives by enhancing and deepening relationships with existing clients.

Introduce innovative concepts and products from key suppliers and exclusive brands to foster client loyalty and engagement. Optimize product offerings to achieve profit targets and ensure compliance with contracts.


Engage with clients to keep them informed about mutual performance metrics, new offerings, programs, and market developments, both informally as necessary and through scheduled Business Reviews.

Ultimately responsible for the outcomes of the sales team (including Account Coordinators and Customer Service Representatives) regarding assigned accounts.

Guide the sales team to:

  • Deliver exceptional service to clients, coordinating with operational and purchasing teams as necessary.
  • Maximize time spent with clients.
  • Achieve or surpass accounts receivable targets, coordinating with central Accounts Receivable as needed.
  • Evaluate all accounts to ensure adherence to programs, create tailored sales strategies, identify client needs, and expand sales opportunities.
  • Maintain comprehensive profiles for all accounts, including order guides, statements, and overall reporting. Confirm pricing accuracy.
Participate in Sales Meetings, Training Sessions, Food Shows, and Conferences as required by Management and client needs.

Assist in the establishment and support of new accounts as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing is preferred.

Related Experience:
A minimum of three years in sales or distribution is required (experience in the foodservice sector or related fields is preferred). Familiarity with restaurant operations is advantageous. Experience utilizing quantitative and qualitative research data is beneficial.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong customer service and presentation capabilities. Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.

The compensation for this position is contingent upon experience, geographic location, and other legally permissible factors.

The anticipated salary range for this role is between

$69,900 - $95,000.

This position is also eligible for

an annual incentive plan bonus.
