Role Overview:

The Sales & Catering Director is responsible for establishing and maintaining robust relationships with both existing and prospective clients. This position involves the coordination and planning necessary to ensure a seamless experience for clients once bookings are confirmed. The Director will implement sales strategies to actively pursue and secure new business while enhancing relationships with current clients.

  • Annual base salary ranging from $85K to $97K

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the sales and catering operations, ensuring client needs are met effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships to enhance revenue and service quality.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients to set clear expectations and foster trust.
  • Oversee the sales department, focusing on recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with department managers to ensure adequate staffing based on client volume.
  • Prepare forecasts, productivity reports, and assist in the development of the departmental budget.
  • Generate new leads and maintain existing accounts through targeted sales programs.
  • Stay informed about market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Guide negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes for both the hotel and clients.
  • Provide operational support for events and ensure all arrangements meet client expectations.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in sales and negotiations.
  • Experience in local business transient sales, group sales, and catering sales is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality sales strategies and customer relationship management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with hotel management software.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently and perform tasks that require sitting for extended periods. Must be able to navigate the hotel for site tours and maintain effective communication in a busy environment.
