SCHEDULE:
  • Primarily weekdays; occasional travel, evenings, and weekends.
COMPENSATION:
  • $85K - $97K base salary annually
  • Eligibility for company bonus program

The Sales & Catering Director leads the property’s sales and catering initiatives, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective accounts. This role ensures that client requirements are met while maximizing hotel profitability and maintaining a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and nurture strategic relationships to enhance revenue and service levels.
  • Maintain open communication with team members and clients to foster trust and collaboration.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily coordination with various departments.
  • Oversee the onsite sales team, focusing on recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure adequate staffing based on guest volume.
Financial Management:
  • Prepare forecasts, plans, and productivity reports for management review.
  • Participate in budget preparation and monitor financial performance.
  • Maximize revenue through effective pricing strategies and upselling.
Lead Generation:
  • Develop and maintain effective sales programs to attract new leads and maximize existing accounts.
  • Continuously evaluate prospecting targets and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Attend networking events to enhance lead generation efforts.
Sales Strategy:
  • Stay informed about market trends to create relevant selling strategies.
  • Assess client needs and present tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Follow up on business opportunities promptly to secure deals.
Negotiation:
  • Guide the negotiation process to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all communications and documentation.
Support Functions:
  • Provide comprehensive support in sales, catering, and operational services.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance performance and resolve conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel standards and regulations.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three years of experience in sales and negotiations.
  • Experience in business transient sales, group sales, and catering sales preferred.
  • Valid state driver's license and insurance coverage required.
Skills:
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to manage and lead a sales team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently and sit for extended periods. Must be able to navigate the hotel for site tours and perform general office tasks.
