Position Summary:
Our corporate office is in search of a Senior Financial Analyst - Operations to become a vital member of our Finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset, enabling the execution of strategic procedures in collaboration with key stakeholders across various business units, primarily focusing on the Operations team. This role is crucial for driving success in both processes and performance, serving as the primary analytical support for the Operations and Logistics teams. You will collaborate with corporate finance and accounting teams to manage monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting and budgeting processes, as well as ad hoc projects aimed at achieving results.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis to extract and define pertinent information; interpret data to assess past performance and forecast future costs and benefits.
  • Support the strategic business planning process by providing critical analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize a comprehensive understanding of objectives, issues, and root causes to deliver insightful, data-driven analysis for complex problem-solving.
  • Proactively assist in implementing a detailed Business Intelligence reporting plan for operations and logistics, including automation of reporting, dashboard creation, and data validation in collaboration with the IT development team.
  • Work closely with Operations partners to ensure accurate and timely analysis of company initiatives.
  • Lead the periodic forecasting, budgeting, and closing processes, facilitating regular reviews.
  • Evaluate business activity costs and recommend budget adjustments or cost improvement strategies.
  • Perform scenario, simulation, and sensitivity analyses as necessary.
  • Design, enhance, and maintain intricate models for detailed analyses.
  • Independently conduct variance analysis, summarizing key drivers, insights, and risks into concise high-level commentary.
  • Assist in developing business cases to support informed decision-making.
  • Maintain processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Assess data, process, and reporting requirements, define specifications, support testing efforts, and execute implementation of corporate business systems.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three to five years of relevant analytical experience is necessary.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient in designing dynamic financial models and conducting scenario analyses.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, customer service, change management, and process improvement skills.
  • Expertise in analyzing financial and operational data to facilitate decision-making and recommend performance enhancements.
  • Advanced capabilities in MS Excel, including experience with large data sets for reporting and analysis.
  • Familiarity with VBA and SQL is preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and synthesize diverse information into meaningful insights.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
  • Standard office environment.
