POSITION SUMMARY:

Accountable for delivering financial insights, tools, and analyses to facilitate the assessment of business prospects, effective financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making support, alongside ensuring robust internal control mechanisms and fostering process enhancements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Execute monthly reporting, forecasting, and annual business plan development for designated sectors.
  • Evaluate financial performance and communicate findings to management.
  • Lead or engage in the execution of process enhancement initiatives.
  • Analyze, verify, and convey financial outcomes on a monthly basis.
  • Offer actionable insights and analyses to inform decision-making.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of financial processes, controls, and systems essential for the organization's future growth.
  • Deliver insightful analyses, incorporating an external viewpoint that considers risks and alternatives.
  • Guide and mentor junior members of the finance team.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • Prior experience in general accounting, manufacturing finance, and/or audit/compliance.
  • Experience in profitability analysis (business, product, and customer), budgeting, financial analysis, and expense control.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proven ability to cultivate positive relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated capacity to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to operate with a high degree of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative without constant management oversight.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • MBA degree.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP).
  • Financial analyst experience in a medium to large, complex organization.
  • Experience in the building materials sector.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Extended periods of sitting: The role necessitates prolonged sitting at a desk or workstation while performing administrative duties, utilizing a computer, and engaging in various office activities.
  • Computer proficiency: Essential skills include typing, mouse manipulation, and viewing a computer screen for extended durations.
  • Manual dexterity: Capability to operate office equipment such as phones, photocopiers, fax machines, and printers, requiring fine motor skills.
  • Lifting and carrying: Occasional lifting and transporting of office supplies and documents, typically not exceeding 20 pounds.
  • Mobility: Ability to navigate within the office to access filing cabinets, printers, and other equipment.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Visual acuity: Ability to read printed and electronic documents and distinguish colors for tasks such as proofreading.
  • Multitasking: Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively, requiring mental agility.
