The FP&A team will develop a comprehensive understanding of the business to clearly articulate financial outcomes, enhance processes, and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and forecasts.

This position requires a strong business acumen to pinpoint innovative solutions and oversee the generation of reliable and insightful financial reports and projections for the rapidly evolving Distribution sector. The Manager will lead a team of analysts, focusing on their development and identifying opportunities for process and technological enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation of monthly board presentations, annual financial plans, quarterly forecasts, and analyses to provide actionable insights and recommendations for informed decision-making.
  • Establish and communicate financial timelines for monthly reporting, annual planning, and forecasts to ensure accountability among finance and business stakeholders.
  • Guide the forecasting process by anticipating business trends and potential variances from the annual financial plan.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including preliminary analysis and research for specific business areas.
  • Mentor and guide a team of finance professionals, providing ongoing feedback on individual and team objectives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate and update the reporting suite to ensure relevance, accuracy, and adaptability to support business growth.
  • Identify key performance indicators and opportunities to enhance profitability and create value for stakeholders.
  • Understand strategic initiatives and implement metrics to monitor progress against critical goals.
  • Foster financial acumen for both short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Share expertise and knowledge with colleagues to facilitate professional development.
  • Collaborate effectively with all team members.
  • Engage with key stakeholders and business partners to align on priorities and drive effective solutions.
  • Communicate compelling arguments based on data to secure necessary support for achieving business objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business management and partners to support key priorities through analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A or a related financial reporting role.
  • Preferred certifications include CPA, CIA, CMA, CFE, or MBA.
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; must be adaptable and capable of addressing unique challenges with urgency.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable interacting with executive management and addressing inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
  • Proven cross-functional team leadership skills, fostering excellence and enthusiasm around a shared vision.
  • Ability to make and justify difficult decisions while valuing the perspectives of others.
  • Experience with Microsoft Navision or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of compliance with local, state, and federal regulations is essential.
  • Experience in the food and beverage sector is advantageous.
