Vaco is seeking an experienced Treasury Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Treasury Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to our clients in the South Oakland County, MI area.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Analysis: Prepare daily corporate cash summaries by monitoring debt, investment balances, collections, and payments.
- Financial Reporting: Review and ensure proper processing of departmental invoices, and complete monthly journal entries for accounts receivable, including reconciling associated general ledger accounts.
- Cash Management: Interpret data to make appropriate cash and debt optimization recommendations, and review and report cash positioning through bank account reconciliation and by obtaining information from internal departments and foreign business units.
- Forecasting: Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and maintenance of the fiscal year cash flow forecast, and recommending and implementing updates to improve overall accuracy and processing.
- Banking Relationships: Ownership of banking relationships, including implementation of compliance requirements received from US and international banks as necessary.
- Internal Coordination: Coordinating with other internal departments to ensure proper recording of all treasury-related transactions and resolution of issues.
- Risk Management: Monitors covenant compliance and internal control requirements, while working with internal and external auditors.
- Special Projects: Assists with real estate and insurance policy processes, including record maintenance, renewals, audits, and certificate of insurance requests, and performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
- Experience: At least 3 years of prior corporate treasury, accounting, or finance experience required.
- Skills: Very detail-oriented and self-motivating, exceptional analytic skills, and a demonstrated experience supporting cash forecasting and cash flow analysis.
- Communication: Ability to research, analyze, and communicate information to management, and strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects while maintaining day-to-day activities.
- Teamwork: Able to work independently and work cohesively with a team.
