POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Financial Analyst will oversee financial and operational activities at our facility, focusing on cost management, inventory oversight, and revenue tracking.

This role entails generating precise and timely financial reports, including daily, monthly, and annual statements, while assisting in budget preparation and forecasting.

The analyst will direct financial processes by establishing and implementing policies and procedures.

Collaboration with department leaders in Quality, Purchasing, and Operations is essential to address company challenges and provide insights on cost drivers and discrepancies.

As a strategic ally to management, the Lead Financial Analyst will contribute to the company's overarching objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain confidentiality in all job-related matters and ensure that supervised staff adheres to the same standards.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of QMC-EMI's Core Values, Vision, and Mission Statements.
  • Oversee the finance and accounting operations to guarantee the accuracy and timeliness of recorded information.
  • Manage financial reporting, cash flow, accounting, costing, and administrative support functions to ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process alongside the Director of FP&A and key managers, measuring actual performance against budget monthly.
  • Support managers in identifying and rectifying budget variances.
  • Implement a monitoring system to track QMC's progress in achieving cost and gross margin targets, ensuring accurate project cost recording and timely billing.
  • Provide necessary data to support banking relationships and ownership requirements in compliance with reporting standards.
  • Foster cooperative relationships with other department managers to offer financial insights and support for operational goals.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping and accounting practices to safeguard work-in-process and inventory valuation.
  • Uphold the integrity and security of financial records and accounting systems.
  • Communicate operational issues, plans, and results to the Director of FP&A and key stakeholders.
  • Lead finance-related responsibilities for physical inventory management.
  • Oversee capital expenditure tracking and budget comparisons.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in financial reporting or accounting within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or aerospace sectors.
  • A strong commitment to excellence with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Experience in financial reporting and accounting, including cost analysis, with increasing responsibilities.
  • Understanding of manufacturing cost centers, product costing, overhead absorption, pricing strategies, and productivity metrics.
  • Proficient in database management, spreadsheets, and analytical tools.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and performing under pressure.
