Overview:
As an Administrative Reception Specialist, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting individuals, providing essential information, and directing them to appropriate locations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist patients and visitors upon arrival.
- Proactively engage with individuals entering the reception area, offering assistance and guidance.
- Provide clear directions to various departments and services within the organization.
- Handle incoming telephone inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Utilize telephone features effectively, ensuring prompt responses to calls.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to security protocols when accessing information.
- Stay informed about hospital programs, events, and locations to provide accurate information.
- Support administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings and managing office supplies.
- Contribute to a clean and organized reception area, ensuring it is well-stocked with informational materials.
- Participate in training initiatives for new staff and volunteers.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess a background in medical terminology and preferably hold a Medical Secretarial degree. Experience in a medical office setting is advantageous.
