Our company is a leading wholesale building material distributor, committed to delivering top-quality products on time.

We're seeking an experienced Sales Development Specialist to join our team in Omaha, NE or Des Moines, IA. This role requires in-depth knowledge of our products, programs, and team members to effectively solve problems and close sales with internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in B2B sales/distribution, customer service, and marketing, preferably within the building materials or construction industry.

A competitive compensation package and benefits plan are offered, including:

  • Base salary: $85,000 per year
  • Bonus structure: Up to 20% of base salary

Key responsibilities include:

Job Description

• Plan and execute personal sales strategies to maximize results

• Research and identify sales opportunities through internal associates, industry publications, online sources, and client/vendor networking

• Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective and existing customers via phone, email, and in-person meetings

• Develop and deliver effective sales presentations to negotiate and close profitable business across all products and services

• Ensure clients have up-to-date product samples and brochures, work with vendors for proper sales positioning

• Consult with clients to determine requirements and expectations, recommend specific solutions, and calculate estimates for competitive pricing

• Interface with internal teams and supply partners as needed to ensure scheduled deadlines and requests are met

• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and concerns

• Maintain complete and accurate information on prospective and existing clients in the contact management database
