Job Title: IT Infrastructure Development Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Development Specialist to join our team at Jack Link's. As an IT Infrastructure Development Specialist, you will be responsible for gaining hands-on experience through formal and informal training, building and supporting servers, networks, and security platforms, troubleshooting problems, attending events, networking with fellow interns, working with key Jack Link's leaders and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gaining an understanding of Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Overview of data Center and remote site design and operations.
  • Gaining understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMware.
  • Learning how data protection works.
  • Gaining experience with Disaster Recovery Strategies
  • Discovering the power of hyperconverged technologies.
  • Gaining understanding of network infrastructure both LAN and WAN
  • Gaining Experience securing large production environments.
  • Creating documentation to support a global Infrastructure.
  • Developing an understanding of Infrastructure as code.
  • Developing skills in project management and working with international partners.
  • Developing skills required to analyze, operate, and build production environments.

Business Responsibilities:

  • Attending meetings between business teams, IT Infrastructure, and help desk teams.
  • Identifying and defining business questions and associated infrastructure needs.
  • Partnering with business team to create actionable infrastructure deliverables and insights leveraging an iterative approach.
  • Creating documentation to support a global infrastructure.
  • Presenting IT Infrastructure deliverables to business partners for review and feedback
  • Final presentation to leadership team to recap experience.

Qualifications:

  • Academic focus in Information Technology with Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints
  • Team player with a "can do" attitude
  • Ability to adapt in a changing work environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work with an iterative and incremental IT environment
