Position Overview:

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will play a crucial role in collaborating with various functional leaders and department heads across the organization. This position focuses on analyzing historical financial performance to forecast future outcomes and provide strategic financial guidance. The successful candidate will oversee the financial planning cycle, which includes managing operating and capital budgets, conducting variance analysis, and performing in-depth financial assessments. Additionally, this role will support business unit leaders by delivering and interpreting financial, statistical, and demographic insights to enhance decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analyses using advanced modeling techniques.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models in partnership with business unit leaders to deliver insightful financial assessments.
  • Enhance reporting for monthly performance reviews, ensuring clarity and relevance for senior management.
  • Execute independent research and complex analytical projects to provide senior management with critical financial trend data.
  • Compile and analyze data from financial reporting systems, addressing any discrepancies.
  • Create new analytical reports to improve the information available to senior management.
  • Drive improvements in reporting and forecasting capabilities to provide meaningful financial insights.
  • Guide senior management in establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) for business units.
  • Foster strong relationships with business unit leaders to understand the drivers impacting financial performance.
  • Offer strategic recommendations within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Lead significant projects that enhance visibility and impact.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Engage regularly with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess strong leadership and management capabilities, along with a comprehensive understanding of financial planning and analysis functions. The ideal candidate will be adept at developing and implementing effective processes and fostering collaboration across the organization. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in senior financial management roles.
  • Experience with financial software solutions is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is highly desired.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills and technical aptitude are necessary.
  • Strong understanding of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in complex, diversified organizations is advantageous.
  • Background in e-commerce, fintech, or technology sectors is a plus.
  • Comfort with technology and data management solutions is essential.

  • An MBA or advanced degree, along with knowledge of the financial services industry, is preferred.
