Position Overview:

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis will collaborate closely with various functional leaders and department heads to assess historical financial performance, forecast future outcomes, and guide the organization in its financial strategy while identifying areas for enhancement. This role encompasses managing the comprehensive financial planning cycle, which includes operational and capital budgeting, variance analysis, internal rate of return assessments, discounted cash flow evaluations, and financial analysis for business units. Additionally, this position will support leaders by delivering and interpreting financial, statistical, and demographic insights to facilitate informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis utilizing advanced modeling techniques and scenarios.
  • Develop and sustain forecasting and planning models in collaboration with business unit leaders to provide valuable insights.
  • Enhance monthly performance reporting for senior management, including detailed business unit reports.
  • Execute independent research and complex analytical projects to deliver financial trend data and strategic advice to senior management.
  • Compile, analyze, and rectify discrepancies in data from financial reporting systems.
  • Create new analytical reports to enhance the information resources available to senior management.
  • Propose enhancements to reporting and forecasting capabilities to generate meaningful financial data for senior management's decision-making.
  • Guide senior management in establishing KPIs and OKRs for various business units.
  • Foster strong partnerships with business unit leaders to understand key business drivers and issues impacting financial performance.
  • Provide recommendations within the scope of responsibilities and offer guidance on significant matters.
  • Design and lead high-visibility projects.
  • Undertake additional assignments as requested by management.
  • Maintain regular communication with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess strong leadership and management capabilities, alongside a comprehensive understanding of financial planning and analysis functions. The ability to develop and implement effective processes and collaborate with stakeholders is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to manage relationships with both internal and external parties.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in senior financial management roles is required.
  • Experience with Datarails is essential.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is highly desired.
  • Strong technical aptitude and advanced financial modeling expertise are necessary.
  • In-depth knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow management, and budgeting is crucial.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities is important.
  • Results-driven and deadline-oriented mindset is essential.
  • Experience in larger, complex organizations is advantageous.
  • Background in e-commerce, fintech, or technology sectors is a plus.
  • Comfort with technology and software solutions for managing extensive data is required.

  • An MBA or advanced degree, along with knowledge of the financial services industry, is preferred.
