We are in search of a prospective team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis to become part of our Finance division. This position operates in a hybrid work environment.
The Senior Vice President, Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis serves as a pivotal Lead Finance Business Partner for Corporate Engineering. This role necessitates deep integration within the Global Operations & Engineering sector, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic objectives and client needs. A successful candidate will transcend traditional FP&A responsibilities, acting as a strategic financial consultant to senior leadership.
In this capacity, you will have a significant impact through the following responsibilities:
- Directing the technical execution and provision of intricate financial analytics and reporting to support the Global Operations & Engineering division.
- Identifying financial strategy requirements and collaborating with operational and functional leaders to fulfill those needs.
- Conducting complex historical and predictive analyses to enhance end-to-end financial processes, including period closing and expense performance evaluations against budgets and forecasts.
- Monitoring actual trends and delivering insights to finance leadership and relevant business units.
- Leading the selection of methodologies and assumptions for short-term and long-range forecasts, reflecting shifts in business strategies and competitive market intelligence.
- Developing and implementing process enhancements to track efficiency savings.
- Contributing to the formulation of annual operating expense budgets, capital plans, and strategic business initiatives.
- Compiling financial data, performing sophisticated analyses as necessary, and presenting findings and implications to senior management.
- While there are no direct reports, you will be expected to mentor less experienced team members as required.
- May oversee projects and analyses, with the impact of your work extending beyond your immediate team and contributing to the achievement of broader functional objectives.
To excel in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- 5-7 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial planning and analysis is essential.
- Experience in Engineering and/or Operations Finance is highly desirable.
