About the Role:
The Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will play a pivotal role in the organization, focusing on achieving ambitious growth objectives. This professional will be responsible for developing and maintaining actionable and insightful analyses across all business areas. The position requires collaboration across functions to understand and explain revenue and cost variances compared to budget, forecasts, and previous years, while implementing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. Utilizing sound financial and accounting principles, the individual will oversee the monthly close process for accuracy and lead the forecasting and budgeting efforts. Additionally, the role involves developing and monitoring KPIs, identifying actions to enhance financial performance, and creating presentation materials for management. The use of technology to develop and automate KPI scorecards for improved financial outcomes is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver precise and insightful financial analyses to support executive decision-making.
- Establish strong working relationships with cross-functional leaders to identify, implement, and monitor corporate initiatives.
- Evaluate Sales and Marketing strategies to determine their financial implications for the organization.
- Prepare pro forma P&Ls to identify risks and opportunities for new ventures.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Operations to analyze product costs and create accurate forecasts.
- Review monthly financial results, providing clear and concise commentary on variances.
- Coordinate with the Group Reporting finance team for the timely submission of key deliverables in the corporate planning tool.
- Develop dynamic and insightful presentations and effectively communicate findings with stakeholders.
- Enhance business analytics, tools, and automated reporting within the organization. Create customer and product P&Ls to ensure profitability information is readily accessible to stakeholders.
- Lead various ad-hoc projects for the organization.
Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in consumer goods, food and beverage, or retail sectors.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting; MBA is a plus.
- Proficient in managing large data sets, with strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other data management tools.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; a strong team player with a willingness to take on increasing responsibilities.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently.
- Capable of prioritizing, adapting, and remaining flexible while managing multiple projects.
- Skilled in collecting, analyzing, and summarizing complex business scenarios; able to draw logical conclusions and solve problems.
- Creative and innovative, with a keen attention to detail.
Physical Demands:
This role requires regular sitting, communication through talking, hearing, writing, and typing. Employees must be able to operate standard office equipment, such as telephones, computers, and copiers. Occasional standing and walking may be required, as well as the ability to lift up to 35 lbs. The work environment is typically well-lit, heated, and/or air-conditioned, with a moderate noise level.
