Position Summary:
The Lead Financial Planning Analyst plays a vital role within our finance department. This position is responsible for overseeing financial planning and analysis activities, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. The role involves conducting financial assessments, creating financial models, and delivering insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategies.
- Develop and maintain financial models and analytical tools to enhance business performance and decision-making.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis, identify trends, and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
- Deliver comprehensive analysis regarding performance metrics, focusing on variances and continuous improvement.
- Conduct ad-hoc research and analysis on profitability, market opportunities, resource allocation, and operational efficiencies.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather, validate, and analyze financial data.
- Monitor key financial indicators, proactively identifying concerns and recommending actionable solutions.
- Gain a thorough understanding of business drivers at both product and enterprise levels.
- Support initiatives aimed at growth and maximizing value.
- Mentor junior analysts, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 3-5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis or a comparable role.
- Advanced skills in financial analysis tools, particularly Excel, and familiarity with financial planning software.
- Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex financial data and presenting actionable insights.
- Proven capability to communicate intricate concepts clearly and effectively.
- High level of accountability and urgency.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic setting.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and data integrity.
