Job Summary

H2M Architects and Engineers is a leading professional consulting and design firm seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Discipline Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our wastewater engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines, pump stations, storage, and end-of-pipe treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects from planning to design and construction of wastewater conveyance systems, utilizing technical knowledge and experience to develop the project team's overall capabilities.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Develop construction documents/specifications and handle engineering services during construction.
  • Coordinate execution of projects with other disciplines, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Prepare complete construction packages, including all deliverables, for the engineering, procurement, and construction of WW conveyance systems for clients.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations & analysis and utilize design software to solve complex issues.
  • Supervise and support the work of others, mentoring junior level engineers and design/drafting technical staff.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal WW conveyance systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study.
  • Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Experience in process design, treatment plants upgrades, and pump station design.
  • Strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior level staff.
  • Successful track record of proposal writing and development.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • P.E. required.
