Job Summary

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner with Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety and excellence. This position requires a strong foundation in respiratory care, with the ability to administer therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gases, neonatal procedures, trauma care, and ventilator transports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medical gases, medication, and aerosols for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes
  • Provide patient education and support
  • Perform patient assessment and basic interpretation of arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing, and chest x-rays
  • Communicate effectively with professional colleagues and manage time effectively
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Care; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP) or Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification
