We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Steward Health Care. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assess patient respiratory conditions and develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Set up and operate respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices, to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, such as inhalants and aerosol therapy, as ordered by physicians.
  • Provide patient education and support to help individuals manage their respiratory conditions and improve their overall health.
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in a clear and concise manner to ensure accurate record-keeping and communication with the healthcare team.

**Requirements:**

  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner accepted by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Technical, clerical, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills relevant to patient care and healthcare delivery.
  • Graduation from an American Medical Association-approved school of respiratory therapy or equivalent.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), as required by the certification policy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

  • Bilingual or multilingual skills to effectively communicate with patients and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
