Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer II plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional solutions and support throughout the manufacturing lifecycle of control valves. In this capacity, you will serve as the primary technical resource for the production and manufacturing teams, swiftly addressing challenges and introducing innovative strategies for enhanced production efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the needs of the production team, offering expert guidance and resolving issues.
  • Developing test protocols and operational manuals.
  • Evaluating technical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Providing troubleshooting assistance during product testing phases.
  • Responding to technical inquiries following product sales.
  • Collaborating with departmental managers to facilitate process improvements.
  • Executing additional tasks as required by the team.

Essential Capabilities:

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to identify and implement solutions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail in documenting specifications.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects while balancing daily production demands with larger upgrades.
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Composed and capable of functioning under pressure.
  • Fostering interdepartmental relationships to enhance support for production and manufacturing teams.

Required Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: 3-6 years in a manufacturing or related role, with a preference for experience in Air Valves or Hydraulic Control Valves.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Office Suite; experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Language Proficiency: English is required; additional languages are advantageous.
  • Troubleshooting Experience: Familiarity with technical troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Hydraulics Knowledge: Background in hydraulics is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to walk, sit, stand, squat, and kneel for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for operational tasks.
  • Ability to use a computer for prolonged durations.
  • Capacity to lift items weighing up to 30 lbs.
