Industrial Process Engineer II

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will focus on identifying challenges and crafting effective solutions within the manufacturing realm. Your role will involve collaboration across various teams to drive enhancements in production processes.
- Oversee the design and refinement of manufacturing processes aimed at minimizing costs while maximizing efficiency and quality.
- Update and manage process routing systems to ensure optimal sequencing and tooling selection, thereby achieving cost-effective production.
- Guide production staff through changes in processes, tooling, and expected outputs.
- Evaluate product designs for new and existing components, suggesting modifications that enhance manufacturability or reduce expenses.
- Provide technical support and guidance in industrial engineering activities.
- Establish and uphold work standards through systematic time studies.
- Conduct analyses to determine allowances and new job standards in response to engineering or process changes.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve operations.
- Mentor junior engineers in improvement techniques.
- Collaborate with teams to develop fail-safe methods and processes.
- Research and recommend new machinery or tools to enhance production capabilities.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing cost estimates.
- Analyze data for statistical process control and conduct capability studies.
- Address corrective action requests and explore material, machine, and tooling enhancements.
- Facilitate and document Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for manufacturing operations.
- Assist in drafting Quality Management System (QMS) work instructions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in industrial, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a precision machining manufacturing setting.
- Green Belt Lean/Six Sigma certification or substantial experience with Lean/Six Sigma principles.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including methods, tooling, and cost management.
- Ability to develop and implement CNC programming to support machining and assembly operations.
- Familiarity with fixture design and part holding techniques.
- Proficient in interpreting detailed technical drawings and blueprints.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-driven with a commitment to achieving results.
- Adaptability to changing work conditions and assignments.
- Collaborative team player.
