Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to work indoors in climate-controlled environments.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
  • Occasional bending, twisting, or stooping.
  • Infrequent kneeling or squatting.
  • Ability to lift between 25 lbs. and 50 lbs.
  • Occasional overhead reaching or lifting.
  • Infrequent stair climbing.
  • Regular repetitive hand and finger movements.
  • Occasional grasping or grabbing with hands.
  • Ability to push and pull as needed.

Job Specific Responsibilities
  • Assess vehicle damage to estimate repair costs for insurance claims.
  • Inspect damaged vehicles to evaluate the extent of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
  • Calculate labor and parts costs for the repair or replacement of damaged components.
  • Discuss repair cost estimates with the body shop manager or foreman, and seek a second appraisal if disagreements arise.
  • Evaluate whether repairs or replacements are more feasible for parts like bumpers, fenders, and doors.
  • Assess the practicality of repairs versus the vehicle's market value prior to the accident.
  • Determine salvage value for total vehicle losses.
  • Complete insurance documentation indicating repair cost estimates and recommendations.
  • Estimate costs for repainting, special conversions, or customizations of undamaged vehicles.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

At-Will Employment:

Employment at The Niello Company is at-will, meaning it can be terminated at any time, with or without cause, by either the employee or the company. This relationship remains in effect throughout employment and cannot be modified by any oral or implied agreement.

Compensation:

The expected salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Additional compensation may be available in the form of bonuses or commissions.
