About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Atlan. As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping our customers solve complex data problems and achieve their business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across various organizations, from Chief Data Officers and Data Platform leaders to data engineers and analysts.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to data teams, helping them navigate the journey to building a modern data platform.
  • Evangelize Atlan's values and principles of an agile data culture to the broader data community.
  • Develop customized demo flows, run trials and POCs, office hours, and other initiatives to arm customers with the information they need to make informed decisions about Atlan.
  • Serve as our eyes and ears on the ground, gathering customer feedback and working closely with our product team to incorporate feedback into the product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Technical Data Practitioner in customer-facing roles.
  • Proven track record of working with data technology and technical expertise in SQL, RestAPIs, and programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or another language.
  • Experience with Enterprise/Strategic customers, dealing with complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for finding creative solutions to customer problems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to build a company from the ground up.
