Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Financial Manager to join our team at Mills Auto Group. As an Assistant Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of our financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Reconcile all bank accounts daily, compile information, and prepare reports as requested by management.
  • Financial Operations Management: Analyze and organize office operations and procedures, hire, train, and supervise office personnel.
  • Cash and Receivables Management: Oversee cash, factory receivables, reserves, finance product remittances, and product cancellations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare sales commission/chargeback detail reports, assist with preparation of North Carolina sales tax returns, and reconcile select accounts monthly.
  • Financial Statement Completion: Assist the controller to complete financial statements monthly according to dealership guidelines and the manufacturer's format and time frame.
  • Month-End Closing: Process accounting month-end and participate in preparation for the annual audit.
  • Financial Analysis: Review the company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
  • Communication: Attend managers' meetings as requested and perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of automotive accounting experience.
  • Preferably experienced with CDK DMS system.
