Position Summary: We are seeking a proactive IT Training Manager who is well-versed in both traditional and contemporary training methodologies. This role involves supporting a U.S. federal government agency by managing, developing, and recommending enhancements to training programs tailored to their specific requirements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing the complete training cycle, which includes needs assessment, planning, development, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation and management of a comprehensive IT training program.
  • Design and maintain a detailed training schedule for IT staff, integrating both internal and external training options.
  • Oversee logistics for training sessions, including scheduling and participant registration management.
  • Assess training effectiveness through participant feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop pertinent content.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in IT training, incorporating relevant advancements into training programs.
  • Learn and utilize an application for course enrollment efficiently.
  • Support the development of a workforce gap analysis.
  • Contribute to the IT Workforce Development Plan by providing comprehensive guidance, conducting thorough research, and actively participating in the strategic planning and writing process.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Training, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with both traditional and modern training methods.
  • Proficient in learning management systems and web delivery tools.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
