Job Title: Financial Program Assistant

Position Overview:

The Financial Program Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting financial operations within a dynamic environment. This position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the research and formulation of responses to inquiries from higher-level authorities.
  • Contribute to the development of timely responses and provide support for urgent requests.
  • Help create comprehensive replies to both internal and external inquiries, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
  • Design, update, and maintain program briefings and related materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and other relevant software.
  • Prepare financial and program briefs for senior leadership and key officials.
  • Compile detailed reports on program planning and status for management review.
  • Support program operations by leveraging various financial tools and databases for data analysis and tracking.
  • Facilitate Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to improve processes and achieve efficiency gains.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training documentation.
  • Ensure the proper organization and backup of electronic files related to program financial history.
  • Maintain configuration management of files for straightforward identification and access.
  • Adhere to established filing protocols and keep accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Ensure financial records and documentation are current and accessible upon request.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in DoD/Navy financial management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • More than 2 years of experience in DoD/Navy financial management.
  • DAWIA Level II BFM Certification or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in Process Management, Technical Writing, and Development of Training Guides.
