Field Sales Manager

The Field Sales Manager role presents an exceptional opportunity to showcase your leadership capabilities as you guide a dedicated sales team. This team consists of field sales representatives committed to upholding high standards of customer service while striving to achieve and surpass sales objectives.

In your capacity as the Field Sales Manager, you will mentor, inspire, and oversee Field Sales Representatives and Third-Party Vendors to meet performance targets through the enhancement of sales techniques and skills. You will also propose and execute strategies to boost product penetration among current, former, and potential residential clients. This position reports directly to the Market Manager of Field Sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, train, and develop internal and contractor teams to meet all sales and installation targets.
  • Act as a business advisor to local dealers, translating strategies into effective operational and sales tactics.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships, serving as the primary contact with Authorized Retailers and National Retailer Management to drive revenue growth and enhance product penetration.
  • Manage the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes for new internal and external contractor team members.
  • Provide ongoing, personalized in-field coaching and performance assessments to ensure team efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain high-quality customer service and retention while addressing escalated customer issues.
  • Conduct regular meetings and store visits with direct reports and vendors, participating in company meetings to stay updated on product information and compliance with company policies.
  • Analyze daily activity reports to ensure productivity and contribute to process improvements.
  • Design and implement strategies to maximize sales, including sales events, competitions, and incentives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for all direct reports and support team members in their career development and succession planning.
  • Communicate and support current and upcoming sales and marketing strategies to all direct reports, managing sales contests and incentives.
  • Stay informed on competitive intelligence and share insights with direct reports and key business partners.
  • Establish and leverage business partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to drive growth.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of experience in a related field. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with 3 years of experience, a master's degree with 1 year of experience, or a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent experience in sales management.
  • Degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Business).
  • Familiarity with the local market and established contacts.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is a plus.
  • Technical certifications in the field are desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and collaboration skills to work effectively across the organization.
  • State licensing may be required for specific sales activities.
