Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Senior Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role will involve collaborating with key clients on a diverse portfolio of projects, including Data Centers, Commercial Real Estate, and High-Tech & Manufacturing initiatives, which range from medium to high complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present comprehensive cost estimates and planning documents.
  • Conduct estimates at various stages, including conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
  • Assist in feasibility assessments and prepare procurement documentation.
  • Oversee procurement processes, including pre-qualification, bid analysis, and contract documentation.
  • Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes, escalating significant changes as necessary.
  • Conduct cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and present monthly post-contract cost reports to clients.
  • Contribute to value engineering efforts and negotiate final accounts.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and consultants throughout all project phases.
  • Provide leadership to the cost management team, ensuring accountability and delivery on all responsibilities.
  • Identify opportunities for business development with existing clients and report findings to management.
  • Propose enhancements to cost management procedures and tools.
Qualifications:
  • Extensive technical experience in all aspects of cost management, including pre-contract, post-contract, and final account processes.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Experience with various procurement methods and contract types.
  • Knowledge of advising clients on value management, value engineering, and lifecycle costing.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing large-scale cost estimates.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects at a program level.
  • Experience in the Industrial or Manufacturing sectors is advantageous.

Additional Information:
